New Mindomo Integrations Are Now Available

Google Drive integration for safer, easier-to-create mind maps

By connecting your Mindomo account to Google Drive, your mind maps will be backed up and easy to reach from any PC, tablet or phone. Moreover, whenever you want to create and work on a new mind map, you can do it directly from your Google Drive account.

Keep your mind maps safe and within reach with Dropbox integration

If you are using Dropbox, you can connect your account to Mindomo and all your mind maps will be daily backed up to a folder on your Dropbox account. All we ask is your permission to access that particular folder, leaving the rest of your folders private.

Secure your mind maps with FTP integration

If backing up your mind maps with Google Drive or Dropbox doesn’t suit you, you can also choose to do the backup to an FTP account of your choice.

Activating your backups takes 3 easy steps: login to Mindomo, go to “More” in the upper right side and choose “Backup”.
Please take into consideration that these backup solutions are available only for our Premium users.

If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us at support@mindomo.com or on the Mindomo chat. Also, feel free to give us your feedback here, in the comments section below.

We’re cooking up something new. Want to join us?

Deeper understanding, fast learning, critical thinking, problem-solving. These are the most in-demand skills of the 21st century. Mind mapping is among the best techniques to develop and improve these skills.
Nevertheless, you can see its real benefits only if you use it efficiently, which proves rather hard especially for first-time users.
So, we challenged ourselves to make mind mapping easily accessible, engaging and useful for everyone. We think we found the solution, and we only need a bit of your help to wrap it up.

  • Are you a K-12 or higher-ed teacher who likes teaching with Mind Maps ?
  • Are you a visual thinker who believes mind mapping is an efficient way of communicating visually?

We want to assist people in reaching their full potential. If you want to find out more about the details or join our initiative, please contact us at support@mindomo.com.

 Let’s make a difference together!

A Fresh Look for Mindomo with HTML5

One of our most  important 2014 resolutions has come true – we finally made the shift from Flash to HTML5. Mindomo is now synced with today’s always-on evironment: the app runs smoothly on all devices, including the mobile ones, it’s lighter, tidier, and way faster than before.

Thanks to Mindomo’s beautified interface, all mind mappers, from first time users to power users, can easily take advantage of what our app has to offer. In the old version, you could access the same feature from different areas of the map. The new version simplifies things because some of the elements on your map were rearranged. It’s great since the functionality in the old version is still here, but the app is more user-friendly.  Your map canvas looks tidier, with plenty of room for your ideas, and you are a right-click away to customizing your topics.

So, let’s cut to the chase and see what the new Mindomo 7 is about:

Working easier, faster and safer

  • You don’t need to install any plugins in order to work with Mindomo’s new version
  • The editor will load around 3 times faster
  • Working on maps will be faster and smoother
  • The information in your maps is safer due to the HTTPS protocol used in the editing process
  • You can automatically check the text in your map thanks to the browser’s spell checker

Working on a friendly GUI

  • Your map canvas has widened and became tidier because the functionality in the top and bottom toolbars was rearranged
  • The features from the top menu are now closer to the topics you are working on. Right click on the topic and you’ll be able to customize it easily.
  • You can style your map theme by using different designs, from flat to gradient ones

Working with new features

  • With the drag and drop feature, you can easily attach images, videos and links to your mind maps and they will work right away
  • Paste images from the clipboard directly to your mind map while using Chrome, Firefox or Safari
  • Take advantage of the improved PDF export

Mind mapping with the new Mindomo should feel more natural and easier than before. Of course, you have to get used to its rearrangement and the new features. This is where our support team comes in.
If you have any questions or you are looking for a certain feature, give them a shout at support@mindomo.com or on the Mindomo chat. They will be more than glad to guide you through Mindomo 7.

Higher Accessibility With Brand New Mindomo 2.3. For Android

Thousands and thousands of people are using Mindomo on their Android devices. What is really uplifting for our team is that they take the time to share with us their positive outcomes after using the app. We want to keep things this way, and  we want our users here with us in the long run. This is why we are constantly encouraging their feedback and try to make it count.

It’s kind of like playing the “mirror, mirror on the wall” game, except the fact that we don’t look for flattery. We want to find out if or when users encounter any difficulties so we can help them. This is exactly how we found out that our Android app could work better on high resolution devices. Or that some users would really love using Mindomo in their native languages.
What did we do about it? We decided it’s high time for an upgrade. Final result? Our brand new Mindomo 2.3. for Android, which displays two major improvements:

  1. The app runs smoothly on a whole bunch of high resolution smartphones and tablets – Google Nexus 5,7 and 10, Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC One, etc.;
  2. We enabled full translation in French, Spanish and German.
    Over to you
It would be great if you could check out our latest 2.3. version for Android  and let us know what you think. Feel free to do this in the comments section below, on our Facebook page or Twitter channel.
Also, if you would like to use Mindomo in your native language, do send us an e-mail at support [at]mindomo[dot]com.

An early Christmas gift just for you

We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for Santa and all the Christmas rage. We’ve been toying with the idea of making all our mind mappers an early present. So, here it is: a quicker, lighter mind map viewer.
Thanks to HTML5, the maps you’ll be publishing, either embedded, or shared with others, will now be effortless accessible. That is, anyone who wants to view your maps can access them from their iPhone, iPad, or any other phone or tablet out there, without having to install any third-party plug-ins or native apps. Once you’ll give it a try, you’ll see it works like a charm!

Hopefully,  you will enjoy this gift as much as we enjoyed the early present we received from Google. They hand-picked Mindomo as one of the few educational apps for their new Google Play for Education initiative. Spectacular things will be happening in the classrooms!

We would love to hear your feedback, and remember: mind mapping is all about creativity having fun!
