Introducing the new assignment templates

Our new assignment templates are meant to help students get started with mind mapping while completing assignments on various subjects: Maths, Language Arts, Science, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, etc.

In order to use any of these templates, you need to click on the Create button from the Dashboard, then go to the Assignments section, choose the template you are interested in, add a new title if you want, and click on Create.

Please note that you can filter your search based on subjects, grades, assignment titles, and languages.

Once you create your own assignment using one of the templates from the gallery, both the description section and the teacher’s guidelines from the template will be cloned. You can edit them both – the description from ‘Edit Assignment’ and the teacher guidelines from ‘Publish to Gallery’, then ‘Edit Guidelines’.

Either you create your assignment from scratch or you choose to develop it from one of the templates from the Gallery, you can later opt to submit it for publishing. This means that other teachers will be able to use it with their students.

If you submit the assignment for publishing, it’s important that it has both a description that guides students about the completion and a description with guidelines for the teachers that will use it.

You can write the teacher guidelines by going to ‘Publish to Gallery’, writing the objectives and guidelines, related grade, subject, language and click on ‘Save and Preview’.

When you are done setting up this final section, click on ‘Submit for Publishing’ and agree to the publishing terms. You will be notified that your assignment has been submitted for review, and someone from our will contact you to let you know whether the assignment has been approved and published, or if it still requires further editing.

If the assignment is approved, a copy of your assignment will be made and published in the Mindomo assignments gallery, and you will appear as the assignment’s creator. If the assignment isn’t approved, you will be provided with more details on what further editing it needs for publishing.

We’d love if you could give these templates a try, maybe even create your own and submit them for publishing, and let us know what you think. Do they improve your mind mapping activity?

Keep it smart, simple and creative!
The Mindomo Team
