We continue the series of improvements and bring you three new playful topic shapes, which you will find in the context menu of each topic. The cloud shape, useful when you feel inspired and want to mark down a great idea. The speech bubble shape, if you feel like giving a voice to your thoughts. The speech bubble outline shape – for whenever you have a brilliant view that needs to be shared. We hope you will find the new shapes entertaining and you will create enjoyable mind maps. For quite some time now, we’ve been working extensively to improve our online and Desktop versions. Let’s start Monday with some good news! Our Desktop version now has a spell checking functionality available in the following languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Dutch and Portuguese. The spell checker becomes active when you are editing the topic, and all you need to do is right click on the word to see the spelling suggestions: By going to the License Info icon (at the bottom of the left toolbar in your Dashboard), then to Options, you can set a custom language for the spell checking functionality, different from the language of the application: Please give this new feature a try and let us know what you think in the comments section below. Hi guys, On the 3rd of July, we experienced unexpected network connection problems on our back-end (storage) servers. This lead to about 30 minutes of unresponsive servers when some of you weren’t able to access your maps. We’re very sorry for any inconveniences this situation might have caused you. Unfortunately, the problems were caused by our data center which had network connectivity problems. Our new assignment templates are meant to help students get started with mind mapping while completing assignments on various subjects: Maths, Language Arts, Science, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, etc. In order to use any of these templates, you need to click on the Create button from the Dashboard, then go to the Assignments section, choose the template you are interested in, add a new title if you want, and click on Create. Please note that you can filter your search based on subjects, grades, assignment titles, and languages. Once you create your own assignment using one of the templates from the gallery, both the description section and the teacher’s guidelines from the template will be cloned.
