Scheduled Downtime Sunday 24.12.2017

Hi guys,

This Sunday, on the 24th of December 2014, at around 7:00 AM GMT we will be having a scheduled downtime for approximately 3 hours. Our main purpose is to facilitate server upgrades and maintenance.

Please take into account that during this time you won’t be able to access our website, nor will you be able to synchronize your mobile and desktop maps.

Hopefully, you will plan your activities in Mindomo accordingly :)

Thank you for your understanding,

The Mindomo Team

Thank you, BIT2017!

We just got back from Bring IT Together 2017, Ontario’s leading educational technology conference. We have been so busy getting ready for it that we forgot the ‘let’s meet and greet’ post. Still, we came back eager to share this great experience with you.

The conference, which by the way has been running annually since 1979, was held in beautiful Niagara Falls, a vibrant city where we enjoyed all the amenities of a large urban center in a comfortable, livable community.

There were three days jam-packed with keynotes, breakout sessions, training sessions and a buzzing Learning Hall.
Most importantly, it has been a priceless experience because we got the chance to meet our users and the people we’d like to collaborate. No more struggling with email ping-pong in different time zones. No more names without a face. We were indeed overwhelmed by all the positive feedback and suggestions we got, and this feeling wouldn’t have been so tangible if #BIT2017 didn’t bring us all together.

Our special thanks go to:

– Mark W. Carbone and Pierre Sarazin for the warmest welcome
– one of our dearest teacher users, Dr. Fred Schadler, who came all the way from South Carolina, United States, just to meet us
– all the educators that passed our booth and attended our Thursday presentation
– last but not least, all the great people who shared their ed-tech expertise with us

BIT2017, it has been quite a ride, thank you!

Info about the Adobe Air version of Mindomo Desktop

Almost 1 year ago we introduced Mindomo Desktop 8.0, our latest, Adobe Air independent app. Hopefully, you had plenty of time to get accustomed to its new features:
– creation of concept maps, task maps, and outlines;
– full import and export functionality;
– improved PDF export;
– stand-alone licensing;
– refreshed UI that matches the online version.

Starting today, connecting to the online servers from the Adobe Air Desktop version is no longer available. This means that in order to access and work on your online mind maps, you need to follow these simple steps:

1. Go to https://www.mindomo.com/mind-mapping-software
2. Download and install the new version of the app

You will still be able to use the old Adobe Air version of the app but not for syncing online. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any further assistance!

Keep it smart, simple and creative!

Introducing Mindomo Desktop 8.0

What to expect of our new Desktop app? A complete mind mapping experience. Easy installation, the same interface as in the online version, diversified map layouts, and no limitations on importing and exporting files. Last but not least, a stand-alone license that gives you lifetime access to premium functionality.

What’s new?

  1. Concept maps, task maps and outlines. The upgraded version lets you create concept maps, task maps and outlines, and upload them in the cloud for easy sharing.

  2. Adobe Air independent. Yes, we said goodbye to the Adobe Air dependency. Installing and upgrading the Desktop is now quicker and simpler.
  3. Full import and export functionality. Import and export without limitations as MindManager, Freemind, Mindmeister, XMind, Bubbl.us, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Text, OPML, MPX, HTML, ZIP, PNG, XLS.

  4. Stand alone licensing. One-time purchase gives you lifetime access to unlimited maps and topics, and 1-year free updates and support.
  5. Improved PDF export. We fixed all export issues that occurred in the older Desktop when saving a map as PDF.
  6. Refreshed UI to match the online version. The new app comes with an intuitive Dashboard and reorganized, easy-to-access functionality.

If you want to uniquely combine working offline with editing and collaborating online, give the new Desktop a try. Oh, and you might want to take advantage of our special launching offer – a lifetime Desktop Premium license for only $29.
