Did you know that you can now add hashtags to your mind map and use them as filtering instruments? Add hashtags to your topics to easily label them, and the next time you type #, you will see an autocomplete list. Continue typing if you want to insert a new hashtag or click on an existing one to add it to your topic. Hit ENTER or click outside the topic to activate the hashtag functionality. Now you can filter by hashtags, making your mind map search a breeze. This functionality allows you to focus on specific information from your mind map and hide all the other topics. We are back with a series of upgrades to our tool, one of which is reorganizing our Multimedia panel from the left toolbar. Our existing Multimedia panel has been split into three specialized panels: one for images, one for videos and one for audio files. Use them to quickly add multimedia resources to your topics, without the hassle of navigating through a complex menu. The new design even comes with a bonus: you can now add an audio file on the same topic where you already have an image/video. You can find the audio file under the “play” icon. The videos and images added to a topic are still interchangeable (the video replaces the image previously added to your topic and vice-versa). Image panel Attach images to your mind map…

We continue the series of improvements and bring you three new playful topic shapes, which you will find in the context menu of each topic. The cloud shape, useful when you feel inspired and want to mark down a great idea. The speech bubble shape, if you feel like giving a voice to your thoughts. The speech bubble outline shape – for whenever you have a brilliant view that needs to be shared. We hope you will find the new shapes entertaining and you will create enjoyable mind maps. Let’s start Monday with some good news! Our Desktop version now has a spell checking functionality available in the following languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Dutch and Portuguese. The spell checker becomes active when you are editing the topic, and all you need to do is right click on the word to see the spelling suggestions: By going to the License Info icon (at the bottom of the left toolbar in your Dashboard), then to Options, you can set a custom language for the spell checking functionality, different from the language of the application: Please give this new feature a try and let us know what you think in the comments section below. One of our popular online feature which gives you the possibility to create your own personalized map themes is now on Mindomo Desktop. With a premium Desktop license, you can now enjoy the comfort of creating your own themes where you can set the default font size, color, shape, background color, relationships on all topics from a certain level so that when a new topic is added on that level, it will be created with that formatting automatically.
